12 acts of kindness

Kindness has been needed this year more than ever. Can you commit to 12 acts of kindness and get sponsored by friends or colleagues.

Give something up

Can you sacrifice something you love for 12 days? Get sponsored to give up wine, chocolate or something else – it will be a challenge but it’ll be worth it.

Sweepstake

Have some friendly competition by setting up a sweepstake with your friends and colleagues with a suggested donation from all participants. The whackier the better!

12-mile walk or bike ride

Do some lockdown friendly exercise whilst raising money by getting sponsored to go on a 6, 12 or even 24-mile walk or bike ride. You could even do this as a virtual challenge in your garden or home.

Socially distanced festivities

Get together by video call for a festive celebration and charge your guests a small entry fee.

Donate an hour’s pay

End 2020 with a flourish by donating your last hour’s pay to the 12 Days of Christmas Appeal.

Festive hat day

Charge your friends or colleagues to take part in a day of wearing a Christmas hat. The sillier the better! Don’t forget to wear it on video calls with your colleagues.

Ask your friends, family or colleagues to give a £12 donation to the appeal. They will have a warm fuzzy feeling from giving and collectively you will make a big impact.

Movie marathon

Hold a Christmas or 12-themed (12 Angry Men, 12 Monkeys, Ocean’s Twelve) movie marathon for £12 entry.

Christmas jumper day

Feel festive and warm by wearing your favourite Christmas jumper all day, with a fee for everyone joining in. Have a competition for the best (or worst!).
